Spotlight On The Sponsors

This month our Spotlight shines on TheKatster.

TheKatster (most of us know her as Kat), our readers would like to know a bit about you:

1. Where does your name come from?

Well, it's not very original, because my nic name on the net is Kat. I just added the rest because it was popular at the time to call people "The---ster" lol.

2. Who are you in real life?

In real life I'm a soon-to-be 59 year old mother of two and grandmother of three who loves art of all kinds and loves creating with physical or digital media to try to express myself. I'm presently retired from a government job but am looking for a part-time job to supplement my pension. Recently I have lost 35 pounds and have a renewed, positive outlook on life.

3. Where do you come from?

I was born and raised on the east coast of Canada in the smallest, most beautiful province in Canada called Prince Edward Island. I presently have a lovely home that my partner Ron and I have made our own by completely redoing it. I have numerous flower beds that I love to tend, and they are a great inspiration for my artwork. Mother Nature is the most wonderful artist of all.

4.What do you do when you're not doing 3D?

As I stated, I'm retired so I can devote lots of time to creating when I'm not working in my garden or taking my dog Tinka for walks. I also create 2D items for sale at a few stores.

5. How did you get started in 3D?

Well my life has made a full circle for me. I started with 2D doing signature tags for friends. When the artists started putting a lot of restrictions on their images, I decided to download a free program called Daz Studio and was directed to the wonderful group called Poser for Dummies. There I met so many helpful people who got me started on this wonderful journey. Now I've come full circle, and I’m creating my own 2D items that people can use to make signature tags.
